2008
PT Hitachi Construction Machinery Finance Indonesia (HCMFI) was founded on September 1, 2008. Its primary business activity is financing heavy equipment that is distributed by PT Hexindo Adiperkasa Tbk. HCMFI was jointly owned by Hitachi Construction Machinery Co., Ltd. (HCM), Japan and PT Hexindo Adiperkasa Tbk.
2015
In March 2015, ITOCHU Corporation (ITOCHU), a Japanese company, and
Tokyo Century Corporation, also a Japanese company, acquired shares
in HCMFI. ITOCHU acquired a 50% stake, while Tokyo Century
Corporation acquired a 20% stake. HCMFI then changed its name to PT
Hexa Finance Indonesia (HEXA), with the following composition of
shareholders:
- Itochu Group (50%)
- Hitachi Group (30%)
- Tokyo Century Corporation (20%)
2024
As a financing company with a captive market for PT Hexindo Adiperkasa Tbk products, HEXA has opportunities for growth and development. As of December 31, 2024, HEXA has 11 representative offices located in the four largest Indonesian islands, which are Sumatra, Kalimantan, Java, and Sulawesi. The presence of these offices provides HEXA with opportunities, particularly with the projected increase in sales of Hitachi heavy equipment in the future.
